There will be plenty to see at N-LAN including all of the outlined Main Area tournaments running over both days, and thanks to Cavtec we will have 15 retro gaming stations to play on and 5 Minecraft rigs for all to use. The guys over at E-Dojo have kindly allowed for spectators to play on their Playstations when they’re not being used for tournaments too!
Bring Your Own Board/Card Games!
We fully encourage potential spectators to bring any board games or card games too, as we will have tables and chairs for people to relax and play at. Enjoy the atmosphere and meet some new friends, trade cards and perhaps learn a new game or two!
- Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO)
- Left 4 Dead 2
- Team Fortress 2
- Minecraft Modded (Mods TBC, there will be several servers with various packs installed)
- 7 Days To Die
- DayZ (Mod or Standalone TBC)
BYOC Area Local Multiplayer Gaming Rigs
There’s something awesome about playing multiplayer games with your opponents or comrades right there beside you. We will have a couple of PC’s running these games at N-LAN, where you can put a shoutout for some opponents on discord then dive on them and play, so when the tournament time comes you’re good to go! It’s also an excellent way of meeting other players too!
We will also be hosting a “doubles” tournament of the below games, so feel free to grab a buddy to team up with, or even just team up with someone you meet there and see if you can come out victorious.
The tournament will span over several if not all of these games with scores being combined to determine the overall winners.
Check out the list below for more info and their respective trailers!
Move or Die
Move or Die is an absurdly fast-paced, 4-player local and online party game where the mechanics change every 20 seconds, currently available on Steam. The very definition of a friendship-ruining game, Move or Die is easy to pick up but hard to put down.
Ultimate Chicken Horse
Ever wish you were a wall-jumping, arrow-dodging, trap-setting horse, besting your animal pals in a race through a peril-laden obstacle course?
Ultimate Chicken Horse is a party platformer where you and your friends build the level as you play, placing deadly traps before trying to reach the end of the level. If you can make it but your friends can’t, you get a point! Play online or locally with your animal buddies and experiment with a wide variety of platforms in all sorts of strange locations to find new ways to mess with your friends.
Ever fancied being a a mammal with a lightsabre for a nose, wig and being wrapped in bacon? haven’t we all! Starwhal is all about stabbing your opponents in the heart with your nose, while trying not to be stabbed yourself. It’s carnage, but hilarious!
With your brilliant robe and magic powers, it’s time to build some Tricky Towers!
Stack your bricks to create a stable tower and try to topple those of your opponents. Cast magic to support your structure and fend off the dark spells of your rivals in this frantic physics party game.
Play with up to 4 friends in local multiplayer or challenge players around the world in an online battle.
With spells flying everywhere and bricks tumbling down, Tricky Towers makes for a chaotically good time!
Mount Your Friends
Experience the extreme simulated sporting sensation that’s sweeping our digital nation! Mount Your Friends is as fiercely competitive as it is fun and tongue in cheek, with the aim being to be at the top of the tower of carefully balanced athletes. Despite looking rather easy, you will soon see it is very very difficult to master.
Screencheat is a chaotic split-screen multiplayer shooter that forces players to rethink the way they approach conventional multiplayer games. In the Screencheat arena, fast reaction times aren’t enough to keep you alive. When everyone is invisible, players will have to master the art of taking a not-so sneaky look at their opponent’s screens and working out where they are based on uniquely coloured areas of the map and distinctive landmarks.
Screencheat pays homage to iconic competitive first-person shooters such as Goldeneye, Perfect Dark and Halo, by blending the elements everyone loves about those games and shaking it up with its own unique take on the genre. When everyone’s used to playing by the rules, can you adapt to unconventional gaming quick enough to get the upper hand?
Push Me Pull You
Push Me Pull You is an award-winning local multiplayer game about friendship and wrestling. Joined at the waist, you and your partner share a long, wriggling body as you wrestle your opponents for control of the ball. Since you’re sharing the same body, you’ll need to carefully communicate (or just shout a lot). With every action affecting both you and your partner, PMPY combines the best parts of co-op multiplayer with the worst parts of your last breakup. Definitely one of the doubles tournament!
Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed
